Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Utubetalk operates at utubetalk.com and a Telegram bot at t.me/UTUBETALKBOT. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how to control it.

2. Data we collect

  • Telegram ID & username — required to deliver transcripts to you. We do not store your phone number.
  • Email — supplied by PayPal at checkout, used for receipts and account recovery.
  • Subscription status — plan tier, active/cancelled state, renewal date.
  • YouTube URLs you send — and the resulting transcripts, stored in your personal library at utubetalk.com/my until you cancel.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (property G-FBWYPP8TMX) collects anonymised page-view and click data for product improvement.

We do NOT collect: payment card details (handled directly by PayPal), location, contacts, device sensors.

3. Third-party processors

  • PayPal — payment processor. See paypal.com/privacy.
  • Telegram — message delivery channel.
  • YouTube (Google) — source of public video transcripts.
  • OpenAI / Groq — AI providers used for transcript processing.
  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymised site analytics.
  • Hetzner Cloud — server hosting (Nuremberg, Germany).

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies (login session, CSRF protection) and the Google Analytics cookie. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

  • Active subscribers: transcripts kept indefinitely so you can search them.
  • Cancelled subscribers: account and transcripts deleted within 30 days of cancellation. Email us to delete sooner.
  • Payment records: kept 5 years per Korean tax law (handled by PayPal).

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Export all your transcripts (request via email).
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Object to analytics tracking (use browser DNT or an ad blocker).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).

7. International transfers

Our servers are in Germany (Hetzner Cloud, Nuremberg). Payment processors and AI providers may process data in the EU and the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. We will not weaken protections without your active consent.
